  2. Hi Gary,

I always thought you were a wonderful man taking such care of your lovely wife and three gorgeous children. Now I know you are an incredible person. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being so open and honest and sharing your story with everyone including me. You have painted such a clear picture of what is going on in your life and its been so valuable for me to be able to follow along. I know I'm not great with words and its difficult to know what to say so I will just say to you thank you and thank you again. Love, Ruth W.

  3. Morning Tai
Thanks for the text and the great updates.
Fantstic news about the improvement in your lung. Sounds like I should be smuggleing in that Pilsner for a quiet drink in the courtyard......
"Man with oxygen bottle and empty Pilsner found speeding in mobility scooter through Chingford Park"
    Enjoy the day Tai

  4. Hey Gaza,
Love the updates. My wife and I have been following you on your journey.

I am at home getting ready to watch the Superbowl with the extended family. Very North American of us...

I haven't yet swung them over to the beauty of a Richie McCaw turnover, but I'm working on it. JJ (our 16 year old) is playing rugby this year. He is a big kid (taller than me) ad plays blindside flanker. Megin can't watch him play because she doesn't like seeing him getting hit.

    Take it easy.

  5. Hi Gary,

reading your blog over the years has been truly awe inspiring with the courage, determination and attitude that you have battled this horrible disease with, it really however does sum up your tenacious and vibrant attitude without any fear. The brutal honesty in which has been written has reduced Amanda and I to tears at times, and filled us with joy at others when the good news was posted.
It was awesome to see you live life to the fullest even through your darkest days and right to the end where it was no longer practical - although I am sure that you have already worked out the charge capacity of the mobile scooter and how far you can get on one of those (I am sure local drinking establishments are on the radar), there is certainly a guy who zooms past the office here regularly)

It is a privilege to have worked with and experienced you and certainly had some good times.

I really liked seeing your ride on mower post, and after becoming a recent owner of one myself I can tell you there is nothing more satisfying than tearing around the lawn with grass flying in all directions - and of course it only has one speed - Flat Out!

We are always thinking of you and your family.
