My journey: Living with and overcoming Synovial Sarcoma. A rare and nasty Cancer. Not a how-to guide but ideas and observations during my experience so far. There are only a few SS survivors publishing and I've found their information helpful and reassuring. The site is also to update my wonderful supporters on my progress. Image above was pre-diagnosis by my daughter of the 'Alien Baby'. This tumour has been removed but the battle to eradicate the disease continues.

It's great ah. I empathise with Stacey's experience and point of view. If you read below there is an interesting forum and some of the alternative experiences are very bleak. I think on any particular bad day or period you can feel completely opposite to her view and it's only when you get your whole journey in perspective that you appreciate the benefits. Endeavoring to stay positive is so key, easier to say than do and especially tough with people who don't have a sunny disposition. I would often visit and get to know my neighbors in hospital and there seemed to be a mixed bag, some positive and making the best of a bad situation, others lashing out and angry at the unfairness and why me. Stress and anger is such a waste on time and counterproductive to healing. If you are unable to be positive at least coming to terms and acceptance of your current situation seems a good starting point.
