Another clear CT Scan last week showing no evidence of re-occurrence of the primary tumor and no secondary cancer (Mets) found. Yeeha I have got through my first post treatment party which included a stage at the party of being DJ, whilst dancing on a table with a Zebra head on, this was quite difficult and pleased my physio wasnt there. I am progressively getting back into business doing 10 hours a week and even have some hair growing back. Life is good!
My journey: Living with and overcoming Synovial Sarcoma. A rare and nasty Cancer. Not a how-to guide but ideas and observations during my experience so far. There are only a few SS survivors publishing and I've found their information helpful and reassuring. The site is also to update my wonderful supporters on my progress. Image above was pre-diagnosis by my daughter of the 'Alien Baby'. This tumour has been removed but the battle to eradicate the disease continues.
Great news, Gary. I'm very pleased to learn that you're at the dancing-on-a-table-dressed-as-a-zebra stage of recovery. That's always a good sign.
ReplyDeleteLOL Bernard your funny. It was a very fun night. Also I am pretty cheap to run i.e. adding alcohol on top of my standard opiate based pain killers has a pretty quick and effective result. Probably a bit reckless but I haven't drunk for months and a blow out was needed.
ReplyDeleteBloody awesome Gary!!! Cheers Linda
ReplyDeleteparty pics please, preferably in full costume
ReplyDeleteI was actually dressed as a Somalian pirate, the theme of the party was north african. Just later in the party a zebra was lying around and I took it's head and added it to the outfit. It was very difficult to dance and be DJ with as you were very hot and essentially blind. I think this could have been a world first party costume, the blind zebra Somalian pirate outfit with an AK47, although it may catch on. Try asking for is at your local party store. Fortunately no photos are in existence.
ReplyDeleteI have some photos on my phone I will see if my technical husband can retrieve them!!
ReplyDeleteHis head is fuzzy like a peach..or a moth or silk velvet...
I suspect your peach of a husband may not be very helpful with this one. Plan B is to FedEx the phone to Canada and I'll be happy to assist
