My journey: Living with and overcoming Synovial Sarcoma. A rare and nasty Cancer. Not a how-to guide but ideas and observations during my experience so far. There are only a few SS survivors publishing and I've found their information helpful and reassuring. The site is also to update my wonderful supporters on my progress. Image above was pre-diagnosis by my daughter of the 'Alien Baby'. This tumour has been removed but the battle to eradicate the disease continues.
Any Doctors in the house to correct this xray montage. Just trying to collate available x-rays to get overview of the spinal work done. I think I am missing a vertebrae or two. The second image on vertebrae bone excised I am not sure of the angle and placement of screws. It's in the body but may come in the side.
ReplyDeleteKat said the surgeon said rods went up to T6, although per my montage it's a couple of vertabrae lower.
ReplyDeleteSuch a major undertaking - but what stunning Xrays. To me, works of art.
ReplyDeleteIn answer to the question does new body metal work setoff the metal detectors at airports. Yes it does. As well as the walk through scanner, when they ran the hand scanner over my back in set it off 10 times. I was going through in a wheelchair with a letter from burwood and got through fine but this will be fun and games with future travel. Apparently they give you a letter but just can't see this cutting it with grumpy USA airport security.
ReplyDeleteSimple solution to your airport problem, spend more time traveling to laid back destinations like pacific islands and swiming with turtles and less time traveling to the grumpy USA for work. To quote Mr Timms there are lots of other younger men out there with "bullshit and wind" send one of them.
ReplyDeleteI am happy to go with that great idea and please put forward at next board meeting, new lackey to do hard yards and I will do the tropical islands.
ReplyDeleteSimon, I would never say such an unkind thing. If you read the full sentance you will see that it refers to young men so I am confused as to how you thought that applied to Awie.
